Project Dignity Update (Friday, August 9, 2019)
It has been an extremely busy week since we returned back to work on Tuesday, following a wonderful few weeks of holiday R & R. We spent this Friday evening going through and organizing all the donations we have received since our last outreach on July 13th. We were trying to get organized for our Outreach # 12, which is planned for tomorrow. Although the weather forecast is calling for a 40% chance of showers, we decided that the odds are in our favour at a 60% chance of no rain!
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of the wonderful, goodhearted individuals, including co-workers, friends, and family, who have generously donated so many great items since our last outreach a few weeks ago.
The donations included a variety of men’s items, such as pants, shorts, boxers, dress shirt, golf shirts, multiple t-shirts, tanks, belts, and sandals. There were also some winters coats, vest, and boots. We also had a wonderful variety of women’s clothing, including PJ pants, multiple tops, t-shirts, tanks, pants, cardigans, socks, a beautiful purse, as well as winter jackets and sweaters.
We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts! We are especially pleased that we now have a substantial amount of great menswear to bring with us for tomorrows Outreach # 10 (Saturday, Aug 10th). We plan on arriving in front of the Salvation Army between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Anyone who wants to come to join us for a coffee and chat is more than welcome!
We want to thank each and everyone for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
