As we always like to do, we want to first start by saying a huge thank you to a few wonderful individuals who have come through for us by generously donating a number of well-needed items to our cause. Our lovely neighbor Nicole came by and again dropped off some great items, including a dress, some skirts, sweaters, and fleece jackets. Beau’s co-worker Corina donated a nice pair of shoes. My oldest daughter Tiffany also donated a pair of shoes and will be dropping off a sweater and jacket. Finally, our dear neighbor Sharon and her husband Earl donated some men’s sweaters, fleece jackets, sports (rain/fall) jackets, and a leather jacket. These items are certainly needed at this time of year, with the temperatures dropping! We want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts! Steady donations like these really allow us to continue to do our outreach on a regular basis every two weeks!

There definitely is an ongoing need for in-season clothing and footwear. We need long sleeve shirts and a sweater, pants, and warmer jackets. We always desperately need socks, boxers, and footwear in all sizes! We are always asked if we have any of these items, but never seem to have enough to meet the need! It really breaks our hearts when we have to say “Sorry, unfortunately, we didn’t get any of these kinds of donations these past weeks, hopefully, we will have more for our next outreach!” Donations of any of these items would be so appreciated!
Our next Outreach # 16 is planned for this Saturday, October 12, 2019, weather permitting. If the forecasted rain does happen on Saturday, we will postpone it to Sunday the 13th. Either way, we plan on arriving at the Salvation Army between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Anyone who wants to join us for a coffee and chat is more than welcome! Also, anyone wanting to drop off donations directly to Project Dignity can do so during our outreach between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Otherwise, we are willing to pick up donations anywhere in the Ottawa area. Just email us or contact us through Facebook messenger.
We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
