We have had a large number of generous donations since our last update on October 22nd. We want to take this time out to thank numerous people for kindly thinking of us and helping our cause. Our friends Debbie and Moe donated two bags full of men’s clothing, including multiple pairs of shorts, and a huge amount of shirts in many varieties. Our neighbor and good friend Sharon, her husband Earl, and daughter Madison passed along a bag full of scarves, winter jackets, warm hoodies, women’s boots, and shoes, and as I already mentioned last week, a large box of Halloween chocolate bars that we already handed out during our last outreach day. During that outreach, we also received a donation of women’s clothing form Tara, which we immediately hung on the rack that very day. Our good friends Telisha and Matt donated two bags of items, including 4 really nice, warm men’s winter boots, and a bag full of soaps, body wash, creams, lip balm, and toiletry gift sets. Beau’s co-worked Hussein, along with his dad Ali, mom Mona, and sister Elian donated 4 full bags of clothing, including men’s jeans, shorts, golf shirts, t-shirts, a huge amount of dress shirts, as well as multiple varieties of beautiful women’s tops and blouses. A kind lady named Tina donated a full bag of hotel-sized shampoos, conditioners, soaps, toothbrushes, etc. Finally, Beau’s former co-worker Denise also donated 4 full bags of items, including a comforter set, multiple towels, pillow, blanket, two sleeping bags, toiletries, hairdryer and brushes, nail polish & makeup, men’s winter coat, warm hoodies, as well as women’s PJ’s, tops, hoodies and warm jacket.
We want to thank all of you from the bottom of hearts for your kindness and the most generous donations. These are all items that are very much needed and will go directly to those who need them the most!
We certainly had our work cut out for us this past weekend! We spent a good number of hours sorting through and organizing all of these items. The fancier women’s clothing will be passed on to a wonderful organization called Dressed for Success, which helps vulnerable women enter back into the workforce by providing them with good quality items of clothing that would be appropriate for job interviews and office jobs. Off-season items will be stored until next spring.

Our next Outreach # 18 is planned for this Saturday, November 9th. As usual, we should be arriving in front of the Salvation Army by 10:30 AM and welcome all who want to join us for a coffee and chat. Donations can also be dropped off to us directly then between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Otherwise, just contact us by email or Facebook messenger if you have a donation that you would like us to pick up.
We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
