We were very lucky to receive a large number of donations again, since our last update two weeks ago. We want to start off by saying another big thank you to Carly and Nathan. I had briefly mentioned them in our last outreach update, because they had dropped by during that outreach to personally drop off a large container full of items, including socks, hats, mitts, women’s clothing, toiletries (shampoos, conditions, soaps, perfume, etc.), as well as tampons and pads. I had also mentioned that a fellow named Scott, who lives directly across from the Salvation Army, came by during the outreach and dropped off 3 full bags of men’s clothing. They included dress pants & vest, winter hats, ball cap, cardigan, long-sleeved shirts, 35 T-shirts, 15 dress shirts, 26 tank tops, shorts, 17 boxers, and 20 pairs of socks. Thank you so much, Scott, for your most generous donation. My youngest daughter Katrina brought over a bag of women’s clothing, including sports pants, capris, shorts, multiple jeans, sweaters, long sleeve tops, along with men’s golf shirt, tank top, and boxers. Thank you so much, sweetie. Beau’s former co-worker Denise generously donated two full bags of items, including 2 blankets, towels, facecloth, and multiple pairs of socks, sports pants, panties, T-shirts, fleece top, multiple pairs of shoes, toiletries, two pairs of reading glasses, and a large box of 32 individually packaged Pringles. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Project Dignity again. The final donation was dropped off today by my eldest daughter Tiffany, who along with her husband Alan, donated two bags of clothing, including women’s long sleeve tops, sweaters, jeans, sports pants, t-shirts, multiple pairs of socks, as well as men’s golf shirts and t-shirts. Thank you both so much for helping out again sweetie.
We feel so humbled and appreciative of all of the thoughtfulness and generosity that has been ongoing for the weeks and weeks since we started with Project Dignity! All of this continued support allows us to keep on doing our outreach every two weeks. The need out there is so great, and your donations are going directly to those individuals who need them the most! Our next outreach (#19) is planned for this Saturday, November 23, 2019, and as usual, we should be arriving in front of the Salvation Army by 10:30 AM. Anyone who wants to join us for a coffee and chat is absolutely welcome. Donations can also be dropped off to us directly there, between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. We are also always willing to pick up donations anywhere in the Ottawa area. Just email us or contact us through Facebook messenger. We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
