PROJECT DIGNITY FOR ALL LATEST UPDATE (Tuesday, December 3, 2019)

Since our last update on Nov 19th, it has been a very busy past few weeks, and we have also had some wonderful donations from a number of caring people.

We are so thankful for all of the generosity and kindness! We first want to say a huge thank you to Sharon and Earl, who joined us and helped out on our last outreach day. They also donated a large tin of coffee, 7 white men’s t-shirts, snow pants, and 24 pairs of new, warm socks! Our good friends Liz and Steve passed along a large donation of men’s clothing from their son Alex. The two full bags included, multiple dress shirts, long sleeve t’s, hoodies, 6 pairs of jeans, 9 sports pants, undershirts, boxers, socks, hat, and jacket. Thank you all so very much for your thoughtfulness and support!

YOU ANGELS ARE HELPING TO KEEP PROJECT DIGNITY ALIVE!

Beau’s co-worker Corina donated a bag full of multiple scarves, hats, mitts, and gloves. These items are so needed at this cold time of year. These will certainly help some people stay a little bit warmer! Corina, we really appreciate all of the steady donations that you have been passing on to us since the beginning of Project Dignity for All.  Thank you so very much for believing in us!  Another one of Beau’s co-workers, Hussein, has also been giving Project Dignity donations on a regular basis. This time, Hussein arranged for us to pick up a large donation from his neighbour, Fari. We picked up 6 bags full of both men’s and women’s clothing, which included multiple golf shirts, pants, jeans, sweaters, jackets, tops, t-shirts, PJs, robe, onesies, hoodies, socks, underwear, and bras. Fari, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the most generous donation. Thank you, Hussein, for helping Project Dignity to continue to do outreach every two weeks! The last donation came from Beau’s former co-worker Denise, who has also donated many times in the past. Denise passed along some sheets, blanket, multiple toiletries(toothpaste, toothbrushes, 5 pack of Irish Spring soap bars, deodorant), sports shirt, jacket, as well as some brand new scarves, gloves, socks, and a box of 20 fruit cups. We thank you so much, Denise, for always thinking of Project Dignity!

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

With a large amount of donations we received these past few weeks, we certainly had our work cut out for us sorting through and organizing all of the items.  As we have mentioned before, there seem to be many more men in immediate need on the streets than there are women. This is why we pass on some of the women’s items to some other great organizations that help women, such as Dressed for Success. As you know, the rest will be handed out directly to those who need them the most during our next outreach days. As always, we are in need of warm, winter clothing, such as coats & jackets, fleece, hoodies, boots, hats, mitts, gloves, scarves, as well as boxers, and warm socks. Our next outreach (# 20) is planned for this Saturday, December 7, 2019. As usual, we plan on arriving in front of the Salvation Army by 10:30 AM. Anyone who wants to join us for coffee and a chat are more than welcome! Donations can also be dropped off directly to us then, between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. We also do pickups anywhere in the Ottawa area. Just email us or contact us through Facebook messenger.

We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
