PROJECT DIGNITY FOR ALL LATEST UPDATE (Tuesday, December 17, 2019)

What a few busy days we have had again since our last update! This will actually be the last “donation” update before Christmas. We have again been really blessed with a great number of generous donations from very kind and caring individuals! Our first huge thank you goes to one of our most valuable supporters. Tina went out of her way to put the word out about Project Dignity at her workplace, and not only gathered a large number of items but also dropped them off directly to us.

AMAZING ITEMS FROM TINA!

Tina has therefore gifted Project Dignity with multiple bags of both men’s and women’s clothing, including 2 pairs of winter boots, 2 winter jackets, a winter wool coat, fleece jacket, winter vest, scarf, 10 tuques, mitts, shirts, tops, blouse, various bags in different sizes, as well as a few children’s items which we will be passing on to an appropriate recipient. Thank you so much, Tina, for believing in Project Dignity, and for all your support! Our next big thank you goes to our oldest daughter Tiffany, who also not only organized a substantial donation through a “free give away” community group she is part of, but also went and picked up the donation from the donor, and dropped it off directly to us.

BIG THANK YOU TIFFANY!

Thank you so much for your help sweetie, and please pass on our thanks and appreciation. The large box contained a winter jacket, heavy sweaters, fleece, long undershirts, multiple pairs of socks & boxers, t-shirts, golf shirts, and long-sleeved t’s. The third donation was from Nic and Nicole (Tina also arranged for this donation), who gave two bags full of men’s and women’s items, such as winter coats, warm wooly jacket, fleece, sweatshirts, jeans, pants, t-shirts, blouse, tuques, 14 pairs of brand new socks, and a large package of vanilla/chocolate cookies. Thank you so very much for your generous donation Nick and Nicole, and thank you again, Tina, for making it happen! The last donation we received was from the Proulx family. I briefly mentioned them already in last Saturday’s outreach update, because among many other items, they donated an awesome 60-80 cup, large, cooler sized hot beverage container with a spout and lever, which we already used during last week’s outreach. They also gave a box of Clementines, which were shared out that day. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this wonderful donation. I know we will be using this much-needed beverage container during every one of our future outreach days!

GREAT ITEMS FROM THE PROULX FAMILY! WOW

Thank you also for the many other items you donated, including a large tin of coffee, box of tea, package of coffee cups, box of 1000 stir sticks, 2 kg of sugar, 4 liters of milk (which we have frozen, and will be using over the course of a few outreach days), as well as 3 large garbage bags full of mostly men’s clothing, such as jeans, dress pants, hoodie, winter plaid work shirts, ball caps, snow pants, 6 winter jackets, multiple scarves, mitts, gloves, tuques, and 15 pairs of thick, war, new socks. Rest assured that all of these donated items will be going directly to those who need them the most, and will definitely help keep numerous individuals a little bit warmer in our harsh winter climate!

Our next outreach (#21) is planned for this Saturday, December 21st. As usual, we expect to arrive in front of the Salvation Army by 10:30 AM. We are happy and appreciative of the news that our friend Denis will be joining us again to help out that day. Anyone else wants who also wants to join us for a coffee and chat is more than welcome. As always, we are in continuous need of warm, winter clothing items, especially coats, boots, scarves, mitts, and hats!

We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
