Just like everyone else, we have been enjoying the wonderful spring-like temperatures we have been experiencing the last week and a half. It has been very slow when it comes to donations, however! We are thankful to have received two donations since our last update on February 25th.
We want to say a huge thank you to my mom and dad’s neighbour and friend Margret, who donated 3 boxes and a bag full of clothing items, including 2 men’s winter jackets & couple of sweaters, as well as women’s winter coat, jacket, fleece, 2 winter vests, 2 spring jackets, a huge variety of blouses, tops, multiple fancy scarves, pantyhose, purse, toiletries, and makeup bag. All of the men’s items, some of the women’s items, and the toiletries will be brought with us on our next planned outreach this Saturday. Some of the women’s items will be passed on to other organizations that help vulnerable women.
The second donation came from Beau’s former co-worked Denise, who passed along a bag of women’s items, such as 6 long-sleeved tops/sweaters, t-shirt, tuque, multiple pairs of socks, and two lip balms. Thank you so much for again thinking of Project Dignity, Denise. We really appreciate the donation.
Our next outreach (# 26) is planned for this Saturday, March 14th. As usual, we plan on arriving in front of the Salvation Army by 10:30 AM. Anyone wanting to join us for a coffee/hot chocolate and a chat is more than welcome! Donations can certainly be dropped off directly to Project Dignity at this time. We are also willing to pick up donations anywhere in the Ottawa area. Just email us or contact us through Facebook messenger.
At the moment we are really low on all clothing items! We still desperately need seasonally appropriate warm MEN’S clothing and footwear in all sizes! Any donations that we receive before this Saturday, we can immediately bring with us for our planned outreach.
We want to thank each and every one of you for any and all donations. Without all of you, we couldn’t do what we do!
